CPS PA Admin Asst II Job at Dept of Family & Protectve Svc – 3.3 Houston, TX
Essential Job Functions:
Prepares, reviews, edits, and disseminates various types of print and electronic correspondence, reports, forms and records. Assists with compiling and entering data provided by program tracking and reporting systems. Coordinates and completes assignments and special projects involving various program related activities. Tracks and coordinates various types of inquiries and administrative actions. Maintains filing and record keeping systems and serves as the back-up to the district records manager. Handles incoming calls, responds to questions, takes messages, provides general referral information to clients, staff, and the general public. Serves as a liaison between Program Director, District Administrator and District Director. Receives, sorts, and delivers incoming mail; sends and receives faxed documents, copies case files. Performs other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations. Promotes and demonstrates appropriate respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and all work-related contacts. Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave policy.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures. Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software. Ability to implement administrative procedures; to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; and to communicate effectively
Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Initial Selection Criteria:
Graduation from high school or equivalent Two years full-time administrative support, general office, clerical, secretarial, human resources or Texas Department of Family and Protective Services experience. Acceptable Substitutions: Sixty semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience. Three years experience in an administrative capacity
