Deputy Finance Director – Enterprise Resource Planning Job at City of Phoenix – 4.2 Phoenix, AZ
This Deputy Director will manage the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) division, which includes a staff of 27 technical, professional level employees. The successful candidate is responsible for managing the business processes of the enterprise wide SAP financial system (which includes procurement, vendor invoice management, and Concur travel management) as well as the support of the Finance related aspects of other enterprise wide systems: CC&B, PeopleSoft (eCHRIS), iNovah, and Tax Mantra. The successful candidate should possess an accounting background to ensure the financial integrity of all systems; a participative approach to developing a long term vision for the ERP Division; the ability to assess and continuously improve practices and processes; a commitment and action to build positive relationships with employees as well as internal and external customers.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships of trust with stakeholders, both internal (City management team, City Council and other departments) and external (vendors, business organizations, and community/general public).
Up to $131,976.00 annually. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. The City contributes 9% of salary into 457/401(a) plans with no matching required. $3,600/annual car allowance and $1,440/annual cell phone allowance.

Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in finance, public administration, and research
Two years of supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public or business administration, economics, human resources, or a related field
Other combinations of experience and education which meet the minimum requirements may be substituted

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
CPA or a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Managerial experience in a large, complex organization using an ERP system, with an extensive accounting and analytical background
