The Global Corporate Bank (GCB) serves the treasurer’s offices of J.P. Morgan’s largest, longest-standing and most important clients. We are recruiting for a Global Corporate Banking Analyst to support our team.
Role DescriptionGCB analysts work with a broad spectrum of senior bankers, product partners, and peers, assisting with client activities including marketing, execution and on-going relationship management. The analyst will prepare business overview materials, research and analyze clients’ capitalization, liquidity and risk management strategies, and develop materials supporting and summarizing the firm’s multifaceted relationships with clients. The analyst will assume responsibility for managing processes for deal executions, internal approvals, and business aspects of regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will work with other professionals as a team to develop customized financial solutions to meet the needs of clients, and will have the opportunity to take the initiative to resolve client challenges. GCB analysts also play an important role in the culture of the firm, and serve on committees and working groups to support initiatives in recruiting, training, mentorship, diversity & inclusion, wellness and career progression.
Core Responsibilities
Support senior corporate bankers in managing existing and developing new client relationships
Work with product groups across the bank, including investment banking, debt capital markets, treasury services, payments, and others, to deliver integrated client service and solutions
Conduct financial, industry, and comparable transaction analysis to assist in the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials
Assist with capital markets related deal execution and the lead in managing internal onboarding and approval processes
Prepare internal documents and models such as debt underwriting committee memos and balance sheet committee models
Manage the end-to-end loan underwriting process including financial analysis, review of loan documentation, and client onboarding
Conduct industry and company research to be used in managing the existing client portfolio and identifying potential prospects
Maintain internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, and comparable transactions data bases
Assist with other projects as requested
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic credentials
At least 2 years of professional work experience, with Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or credit experience preferred
Strong research and analytical skills including PowerPoint and Excel based modelling
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated motivation, dependability, and teamwork
