Senior Fund Accountant (Hedge Funds) Job at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. – Dublin
The Fund Accounting NAV Operations Team is a Centre of expertise providing a Fund Accounting operational service to multiple clients and fund types. The Fund Accounting Team is responsible for producing, validating, and releasing NAV share prices for clients while maintaining an accurate accounting record.
As a Fund Accounting Analyst you will be an integral member of the Fund Accounting team who will be primarily responsible for the preparation of the NAV in a timely, accurate manner. You will work in a team of experienced Fund Administrators and under supervision and support of the Fund accounting Manager, to ensure your successful development in the role. In addition you will receive induction training tailored to your role alongside client focused and technical on-the-job training.
Preparation of core reconciliations in order to ensure the accuracy of the NAV.
Preparation and processing of income and expense accruals
Preparation of fee calculations including management & performance fees
Responsible for the timely accurate calculation of the NAV.
Ability to investigate & validate NAV movement.
Adhere to and ensure adherence to a defined control environment.
Contribute to ownership and responsibility of the end to end NAV Operating model.
Escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner
Assistance on audit process.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, third parties, as well as with other business groups across JPMorgan, including Custody, Transfer Agency and Client Services.
Skills/attributes & required experience:
Demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Experience in a Fund Accounting Team at this level
Knowledge of the treatment of financial instruments in the NAV and NAV drivers.
Understanding of Alternative investment fund types across multiple jurisdictions
Excellent attention to detail, effective analytical and problem solving skills
A flexible and adaptable approach
Must be able to demonstrate initiative and to manage their own workload
Team player, professional and proactive approach to work, positive attitude with an ability to communicate across multiple sites
- Bachelors degree required (business discipline preferred)
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with prior experience in alternative fundsJ.P.
