About the Position
This position is housed in the Community Justice and Rehabilitation Services Department. This position will join the Lane County Family Mediation section of the Restorative Services unit:

Is familiar with (or interested in becoming proficient in) reviewing cases and filing documents in Oregon’s Odyssey e-file & Serve eCourt System; and
Is able to successfully engage with upset or difficult-to-work-with clients on a semi-frequent basis.

This position will:

Ensure high quality customer service for clients and the Court via phone and email (and in-person as needed by the program)
Prepare parent education classes including registration, court documents, and attorney correspondence.
File documents in e-court.
Process scheduling for multiple service areas and the team, including but not limited to, mediations and Family Check-Up.
Process billing; accept payments, distribute incentives, and other cash management matters.
Coordinate communication with stakeholders for the Lane County domestic relations status hearings. The status hearings are currently taking place remotely, but may resume in-person in the future.
Correspond with clients via multiple channels of communication.
Be the first point of contact and key liaison between clients and program staff.
Create and maintain client records for multiple service areas.
Enter program data and assist in the preparation of reports.
Other duties as assigned. Assigned duties are subject to change based on program need.

Lane County Youth Services (YS) provides assessment, probation, training, counseling, and detention services for all youth, ages 12-17 years old, referred by local law enforcement because of criminal behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Three years of responsible office assistance, support and clerical experience.
An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Microsoft Whole Proficiency Test
Spanish Bilingual Test
Applicants who score 65% or higher on the supplemental question scoring will take the Sr. OA hiring test. Applicants who score 65% or higher on the Sr. OA hiring test forwarded in the process and will take the Microsoft whole test. Applicants who score 65% or higher will be forwarded for an interview.

This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check. If fingerprinting is required, the fee is paid for by the successful candidate and the expense is non-reimbursable.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
