Our client, an oil & gas supermajor, is looking for aTrading Crude Analystto help our Crude and Oil data operations run smoothly and receive great pay and benefits while doing it!
Activities:
· Update data in the relevant files used in the production of crude and oil supply (crude, condensate, NGLs, non-conventional) by country/region.
· Make use of extensive data resources from consultants, international/government agencies, specialized data vendors and internally generated data.
· Manage data used in regional short-term crude balances: update data in the relevant files used in the production of 3 months forward balance by region [Americas, Europe, Asia], including tracking of flows and runs by quality as well as regional stock changes.
· Maintain existing data visualization dashboards (Power BI) and develop new dashboards with the evolving needs of the trading desk and the broader research group.
· Aid in the maintenance and development oil supply forecasting tools.
· Communicate external market analysis, desk view changes and market news putting these developments in a regional/global context for trading desks to act with agility and react in timely manner to changes in market conditions.
· Ensure local awareness of the analysis produced by desk analysts in other regions.
· Respond to ad-hoc informational requests from the trading desks.
Candidate profile:
·Education:Preferred masters degree in economics, finance, business or a related engineering degree – a specialization in energy or commodities is an advantage. Programing knowledge of Python, R, SQL, VBA is required.
·Experience:Preferred at least 3 to 5 years of crude desk analyst experience with an oil trading company, or oil major.
·Languages:very strong fluency in English (oral and written) is a must, French is preferred.
· Ability to work autonomously and engage in self-development and training.
